If you only had one shot (with apologies to Eminem)

Tormenta lost 1-0 to Madison last night with the Mingos getting one shot on goal the whole night. It was a fantastic shot following an errant pass by Tormenta's Aaron Walker, setting up Madison's lone goal of the night. But only one shot.

With apologies to Eminem (and to the tune of "Lose Yourself") here's my recap:

Look, if you had one shot or one opportunity

To seize everything you ever wanted in one moment

would you capture it or just let it slip?

The teams were sweaty, knees weak, legs are heavy

Perspiration on their jerseys already, hot and sweaty

They're nervous but on the surface they are calm and ready

It's a big game, both teams needing a win

The game starts, the whole crowd goes so loud

They knock it around but the ball just stays out

No scoring, how? Defense is strong, wow.

The clock runs up, nearly halftime, blaow.

Following a turnover, Dourado Pereira

He's open on the left, he shoots, it's so good

Sam Jones won't give up that easy, but no, he won't have it

Jones knows the whole balls in the net, it don't matter

They're down, he knows that, need to score, offense is stagnant

He knows when he goes back to the locker room that's when it's

Back to the lab again, yo, this old rhapsody

Better adjust from this moment and hope it don't stop them

Tormenta lost the game in Wisconsin

That moment, they owned it, Madison never let it go (go)

The Mingos had only one shot, did not miss their chance to blow

The opportunity came once in a lifetime, yo

Tormenta lost the game in Wisconsin

The Mingos had only one shot, did not miss their chance to blow

The opportunity came once in a lifetime, yo.

Yeah, I'm not going on for two more verses. No one needs that in their life.
