Five games in 11 day is a lot.

Throw in that two of them are against a currently undefeated South Carolina United and the final game in that stretch is a rematch with defending champion North Carolina Courage and you've got a hectic little stretch that the Tormenta W-League squad is facing. 

It started this past Saturday with Tormenta's 3-1 win over Carolina Ascent. Tormenta takes on the aforementioned SC United tonight on the road before hosting the Charlotte Eagles on Friday. Tormenta and Charlotte tied 1-1 back on May 20th.

On Sunday, Tormenta hosts SC United in their return trip and then Wednesday is that rematch with the NC Courage, who are also undefeated at this point. In total, that's five games against the top teams in the South Atlantic League in 11 days. Combined, the opponents in Tormenta's next four games are 8-1-3. But to be the best, you've got to beat the best and Tormenta has that opportunity coming up. 

It's certainly not an ideal schedule
, to say the least, but you play the schedule you're given and go with it. Fortunately four of those five are in the friendly confines of Tormenta Stadium. 

Tormenta manager Kian Brownlee said he expects to rotate some players in who may not have seen as much playing time so far this season and try to manage minutes during this portion of the schedule.

"We didn't bring anyone here not to play," he said after Saturday's match.

I'm going to try to do a brief write up Wednesday of tonight's game if things work out and I can watch it. (I'm trying to be considerate of my wife since I'm spending all weekend at Tormenta Stadium. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, in between the two W-League games on Friday and Sunday, the League One guys have a game on Saturday night. It's going to be a busy weekend! I've got problems with Hoot, but don't worry, I've got problems with a lot of the other League One Mascots as well. Edit: So I'm a goof and I somehow totally missed Rusty the Wolf, Chattanooga's pants-wearing mascot, when I initially posted this. This was not intentional and certainly did not happen because Chattanooga beat Tormenta last weekend and I was subconsciously still upset about it. Nope, I'm just someone who managed to overlook them and there's no one to blame but myself. Welcome back friends. When I first started this blog a little over a year ago, I wasn't sure what form it was going to take. I had some ideas of what I wanted it to be (and no real idea of the time commitment I was making for myself), but I knew I wanted it to be a fun little thing that I enjoyed and, hopefully, some others might enjoy as well. I thought about going with a Michelle Branch photo here to really drive home the title, but maybe it's just me that has that song stuck in my head today. So this is when I would usually run my monthly Power Rankings, but the USL had their midseason media availability with the presidents of USL League One and USL Championship and it would be a disservice to you, my readers, if I didn't bring you the key discussion points from that press conference.  (Wait, you'd rather have power rankings?
