Tormenta W-League Schedule announced

Tormenta's USL-W League schedule is out and if past seasons are any indication, there's a game you're going to want to circle on your calendar.

South Georgia is once again in the South Atlantic Division with several familiar foes including the SC United Bantams, NC Fusion, Charlotte Eagles and nemesis North Carolina Courage U-23. New this year is Port City FC out of Wilmington, NC.

What that means is an imbalanced schedule where Tormenta will play some opponents twice while playing others only once during their 12-game regular season.

Unlike the USL League One season that stretches from March to October and you have a chance to build momentum and develop over the course of the season, the W-League is a sprint from the get go. Tormenta will play those 12 games in basically six weeks, opening on May 14 at SC United Bantams while ending the regular season on June 27 at Port City FC.

Tormenta opens with three straight road games before their home opener on May 27 against the Charlotte Eagles. That's the first of four home games in a row that includes Wake FC (May 31), North Carolina Fusion (June 4) and the second matchup with the Bantams (June 8)

After q rematch with Wake FC on the road on June 13, Tormenta returns home close out the home portion of their schedule with a game against the Carolina Ascent (June 17) and then what could be the game of the year in the South Atlantic Division as the NC Courage visit Tormenta Stadium on June 21.

The Courage have been to three straight USL-W League championship games, winning it all in 2024 while falling short in the title game in both 2023 and 2025. Tormenta, meanwhile, won the title in 2022 and have consistently been among the best teams in the league, going 28-9-10 in their four years, including a nine win season in 2024 where they missed the playoffs.

Following the matchup with the Courage, Tormenta will close out their regular season on the road with Charlotte (June 24) and Port City FC (June 27).

You can find the full W-League schedule here if you want to see all the teams.

Like I said, it's a sprint but, honestly, it's some of the most fun I have in covering Tormenta.

I'll continue to encourage you to attend a game and support these women if you can and if you're reading this and not in the Statesboro area, find a W-League team near you and go to a few games.
